Policies
Full tuition is due each month that a student is enrolled in the studio. Tuition is paid for the time slot that you are reserving each week and for a space in the studio, just as one pays tuition for school.  Tuition is payable by cash or check.  Payment is due at the beginning of the first lesson of every month  Tuition is due in full each month; do not make deductions for missed lessons, 2 make-ups are provided at the end of the academic year. No deductions will be made if more than 2 lessons are missed.  There is no reduction of tuition for missed group lessons. Tuition covers weekly private lessons, twice-a-month group lessons and recitals.

Summer Lessons
The studio is open September through July of ever year. The studio is closed the month of August and students are strongly encouraged to attend the Japan Seattle Suzuki Institute.

Practice Policy
New students and parents should anticipate practicing 5 days a week. After the initial start-up phase, parents should allow for 1/2 hour of practice, 5 days a week.  As a student advances, more practice time should be added.  Consistent practice is necessary to an enjoyable experience and a requirement for the studio.  If practice is consistently lacking, a parent/teacher/student consultation will be held to discuss options and if continued study is the best idea for the student. Dr. Suzuki once said: “You must only practice on the days that you eat.”  Violin should become one of the enjoyable and challenging parts of the day.
